Hormone Therapy & Intimate Wellness

Two Paths. One Connected Approach.

Hormone health is the foundation. For some people, that is where care begins and continues. For others, intimate concerns involve more than hormones alone. Explore hormone optimization on its own, or see how Intimate Wellness builds on that foundation with additional targeted therapies.

Hormone Optimization Therapy

Start with the foundation.

Evaluation, appropriate testing, hormone therapy when appropriate, and ongoing monitoring designed to support hormone health over time.

Intimate Wellness

When hormones are only part of the picture.

Our Intimate Wellness program builds on HRT with targeted therapies that address pelvic floor strength, circulation, tissue response, and sexual wellness.

Hormone Health Is Whole-Body Health

Hormonal changes do not always announce themselves as a “hormone problem.” They can show up gradually, across several areas of your health, and sometimes in ways that are easy to dismiss or explain away.

Energy & Motivation

Changes in energy, stamina, motivation, or feeling unlike yourself.

Sleep & Mood

Changes in sleep quality, mood, focus, or mental clarity.

Muscle & Strength

Loss of muscle, changes in strength, slower recovery, or reduced physical performance.

Weight & Body Composition

Changes in body fat, muscle mass, metabolism, or where weight is carried.

Sexual & Intimate Wellness

Changes in libido, arousal, comfort, sensation, or sexual function.

Long Term Health

Hormones also interact with bone, cardiovascular, metabolic, and other aspects of health.

These changes can have many causes, and symptoms alone cannot tell us that hormones are responsible. That is why we start with your history, what you are experiencing, and appropriate testing before deciding whether hormone therapy belongs in your care.

Hormone Optimization Therapy

Start with understanding what has changed.

Hormone therapy is not simply about replacing a number that appears low on a lab report. We look at your symptoms, health history, hormone levels, stage of life, medications, and overall health to determine whether hormone therapy is appropriate and what that care should look like.

Hormone care begins with understanding what has changed. Your provider considers your symptoms, health history, medications, stage of life, and appropriate laboratory testing together.

Testing helps us understand your current hormone levels and identify other factors that may need attention before deciding whether hormone therapy is appropriate.

A laboratory number alone does not determine treatment. Your results are interpreted in the context of how you feel and your overall health.

When hormone replacement therapy is appropriate, AA&W offers bioidentical hormone pellet therapy.
A small pellet is placed beneath the skin and gradually releases hormone over time. This provides consistent delivery without a daily pill, cream, or injection.

How often treatment is needed varies from person to person. Your provider uses your symptoms, laboratory results, and response to treatment to determine when adjustments or additional treatment are appropriate.

Hormone levels can change significantly during perimenopause and menopause, as well as after certain surgeries or other changes in hormone production.

Women may notice changes in energy, sleep, mood, mental clarity, temperature regulation, libido, vaginal comfort, muscle and strength, or body composition.

These symptoms can have many causes. Evaluation helps us determine whether hormonal changes may be contributing and whether treatment is appropriate.

Hormone levels in men can change gradually with age and may also be influenced by health conditions, medications, weight, sleep, and other factors.

Men may notice changes in energy, strength, muscle mass, recovery, libido, sexual function, mood, motivation, concentration, or body composition.

These changes are not automatically caused by low hormone levels. Testing and medical evaluation help determine whether hormones are part of the picture.

Hormone therapy is ongoing medical care, not a one-time pellet treatment.

Once treatment begins, your provider follows both your laboratory results and how you are responding. This allows us to monitor hormone levels, identify concerns or side effects, and make adjustments when appropriate.

The goal is not simply to reach a particular number. How you feel and how your body responds matter too.

When Hormones Are Only Part of the Picture

Hormones can be an important part of intimate wellness, but they are not the whole picture. Pelvic floor strength, circulation, tissue health, childbirth, aging, menopause, surgery, and other physical changes can also affect comfort, bladder control, sensation, sexual function, and confidence.

When those concerns are present, we can address the physical pieces alongside hormone care.

Intimate Wellness

A more comprehensive first year of care.

Our Intimate Wellness program builds on HRT with Emsella and Alma Duo, addressing hormone health, pelvic floor function, and circulation together.

Treatment is more concentrated during the first year, giving each therapy a specific role within one connected plan.

Hormone therapy provides the foundation of the program. We begin by evaluating and addressing the hormonal piece before adding Alma Duo.
HRT then continues throughout the year with appropriate labs, monitoring, and treatment based on your individual response.

The pelvic floor plays a role in bladder control, core support, and intimate function. Weakness or changes in these muscles can contribute to symptoms that hormone therapy alone cannot address.

Emsella uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology to stimulate deep pelvic floor muscle contractions while you remain fully clothed and seated.

It gives us a way to directly address the muscular component of intimate wellness.

Healthy blood flow plays an important role in arousal, sensation, and sexual function.

Alma Duo uses acoustic wave technology to support blood flow and circulation in the treatment area. This allows us to address a physical component of sexual wellness that hormone therapy and pelvic floor strengthening do not directly target.

Alma Duo is introduced after hormone therapy has begun.

Different therapies. Different jobs. One connected plan.

HRT
Addresses the hormonal component of intimate wellness.

Emsella
Addresses pelvic floor muscle strength and function.

Alma Duo
Addresses blood flow and circulation involved in sexual function.

Combining them allows us to address several different contributors to intimate health rather than expecting one treatment to do everything.

Intimate Wellness is intentionally more concentrated during the first year.

HRT

Ongoing hormone therapy with appropriate labs and monitoring throughout the year.

Emsella | 18 treatments

Begin with 6 treatments twice weekly for 3 weeks, followed by treatments throughout the remainder of the year. Frequency may be adjusted toward the end of the year as needed to complete the treatment plan.

Alma Duo | 8 treatments

Begins after the first month of HRT with 6 treatments twice weekly for 3 weeks, followed by additional treatments around months 6 and 9.

The first year is designed to establish treatment and provide focused support early on.

After completing the program, patients can transition to ongoing HRT care.

Ongoing HRT Care:
Women: $135/month
Men: $145/month

Follow-up labs are included. New HRT patients may have a $150 initial lab and assessment fee.

Additional Emsella, Alma Duo, or other intimate wellness treatments can then be considered based on your individual needs.

HRT + Intimate Wellness

$260/month | 12-month program

HRT + 18 Emsella treatments + 8 Alma Duo treatments
